We have open positions for Human Resource Managers with a Luxury Cruise Line
§ He/She is a strategic professional that partners with the Executive Committee and members of the leadership team to develop and implement HR strategies and programs that are in line with the individual business units and organizational mission and vision.
§ He/She must have extensive knowledge in all aspects of HR administration: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, learning, compensation, benefits and HR systems.
§ He/She leads and manages the ship’s overall HR Division, serves as the Compliance and Ethics contact; maintain a close reporting relationship with the Master for all crew related affairs.
§ Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field or 10 years senior management experience in human resources
§ Minimum five years progressive experience in human resources
§ Human Resources professional designation (ie. SHRM) preferred
§ Minimum of three years in employee relations investigating, negotiating and resolving grievances and conflicts, preferably in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
§ Must be able to show a successful track record of strategic work with business partners at all levels
§ Strong analytical and written communication skills
§ Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage in a fast paced environment
§ Communicates tactfully, effectively and confidently with guests, department/division heads and crewmembers both one on one and in larger group settings
§ Advanced computer skills
§Highly advanced ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially
§ Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French or German preferred
§ Ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
§ Responsible for meeting or exceeding all KPIs that are directly influenced by this role.
§ Educates /supports the management to HR policies, procedures and company’ standards
§ Oversees activities relating to sign on and sign off procedures, crew immigration/customs,etc
§ Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
§ Uses advanced HR Information Systems to access and analyze data for reporting purposes based on business unit needs and uses relevant data to recommend solutions
§ Ensures Safety, Environmental and other company policies and standards.
§ Manages the HR and Crew Welfare budgets
§ Supports the development / execution of relevant training programs
§ Demonstrates a passion for customer service excellence and understands the implications of cultural differences for service requirements
§ Strives to build employee morale and develops strategies in partnership with onboard leadership to enhance overall employee satisfaction.
§ Designs and drives the execution of an HR strategic plan
§ Looks for new ways to drive performance within the HR team and the broader shipboard environment
§ Evaluates existing policies / procedures and makes recommendations for changes / implementation.
